Closeness, friendship with God, AhlulBayt (a.s.) purify man’s soul: Ayatollah Ramazani

Pointing out that “man should connect with those who are close to God in order to attain purity and divine knowledge,” the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Closeness and friendship with God and AhlulBayt (a.s.) purify man’s soul.”

ABWA Official Website – On Monday, July 24, 2023, during the mourning ceremony of the sixth day of Muharram at the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Ukhra (a.s.), Rasht, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “AhlulBayt (a.s.) are close to God, and we should resort to them.”

Pointing out that “man should connect with those who are close to God in order to attain purity and divine knowledge,” the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Closeness and friendship with God and AhlulBayt (a.s.) purify man’s soul.”

“Honesty is one of the main characteristics of AhlulBayt (a.s.), and its use is very important in human life and journey,” he mentioned.

Referring to the two principles of Wilayah and Disavowal in Ziyarat Ashura, Ayatollah Ramazani added, “If a person observes these two principles, he will be friend with the friends of AhlulBayt (a.s.) and enemy with their enemies.”

“Cherishing and respecting Immaculate Imams (a.s.) increases human dignity,” he emphasized.

Referring to the main duties of man towards Imam Mahdi (a.s.), the representative of the people of Gilan stated, “Knowing, loving, and obeying are among our main duties towards Imam Mahdi (a.s.).”

“Adherence to Islam requires knowledge and belief,” he added, “By participating in religious sessions, we should ask AhlulBayt (a.s.) to give us complete knowledge of Islam, and we should also learn it from them.”

“Spiritual sustenances are of great value,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Worship, being with the ulama, praying, knowing the saints, and reciting the Quran, are among the spiritual sustenances that God gives to humans.”

“Some people’s religiosity and friendship towards God and AhlulBayt (a.s.) has become conditional and verbal. While the friendship and obedience of Hazrat Abalfazl al-Abbas (a.s.) towards Imam Hussain (a.s.) was absolute and resulted from his complete knowledge of the Imam,” he said at the end.
