“Undoubtedly, the scholarly efforts of the deceased to analyze the shiny life of AhlulBayt (a.s.) as well as purifying the texts related to the events of Ashura from weak material, are the remnants of the righteous that now help him in his journey to the Hereafter.”

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

While the sorrow of mourning for the family of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) along the news of the death of our loved ones due to the Covid-19 virus hurts our hearts, the news of the demise of another prominent professor of the seminary of Qom doubled our grief.

The late Hojat al-Islam Mehdi Pishvaee was one of the prominent seminary historians who spent his life studying the history of Islam and the AhlulBayt (a.s.).

At seminary and university, his books have been history textbooks, and his students have illuminated the path of scholars and enthusiasts of this field of study.

Undoubtedly, the scholarly efforts of the deceased to analyze the shiny life of AhlulBayt (a.s.) as well as purifying the texts related to the events of Ashura from weak material, are the remnants of the righteous that now help him in his journey to the Hereafter.

I offer my condolences on the demise of this pious scholar to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), as well as to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Grand Sources of Emulation - especially Grand Ayatollah Sobhani – Islamic seminaries, colleagues, students, and his honorable family.

For the deceased, I ask God for the exaltation and reunion with Imam Hussain (a.s.), and patience for his family and relatives.

“Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return” (Holy Quran 2:156)
