The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Raising a child is a specialized and heavy task assigned to mothers by God. Lady Zahra (a.s.) raised her children in the best way, and she was the best teacher.”
ABWA Official Website – The mourning ceremony for the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) was held in the Imam Ali bin Al-Hussein (a.s.) mosque in Abuzar neighborhood of Tehran, with a speech by the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
In this ceremony, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “The status of Lady Zahra (a.s.) is so high that Imam Mahdi (a.s.), an Infallible Imam, said about her that she is a role model for him.”
Emphasizing the need for girls to follow the example of Lady Zahra (a.s.), he added, “She is a role model for girls, mothers who want to be good mothers, and wives who want to be good wives. Lady Fatimah’s (a.s.) position is so high that she can be a role model for every human being. In human qualities, such as worship, asceticism, courage, wisdom, and knowledge, she is a role model for everyone.”
About the virtues of Lady Zahra (a.s.), the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Lady Zahra (a.s.) was like a mother to her father, the Holy Prophet (a.s.). A Quranic verse was revealed to the Muslims and forbade them to call the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) by his name. In this regard, Lady Fatimah (a.s.) said, “The glory of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) prevented me from calling him “father.” Therefore, I said: “O the Messenger of Allah!” The Prophet (p.b.u.h) turned to me and said: “My daughter! This verse does not address you. You belong to me, and I belong to you. You call me father because this is more beloved in my heart, and more favorable in the presence of God”.”
“It is narrated in a hadith that when Lady Zahra (a.s.) used to go to the house of her father, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), he would stand in full respect for her. Not only because Lady Fatimah (a.s.) was his daughter, but because she was one of the divine saints and one of the best in terms of faith, communication, and connection with God, which has a great status with God. In addition to standing up to respect Lady Zahra (a.s.), the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) used to go towards her, kiss her hands and give her his seat. About his wife Lady Zahra (a.s.), Imam Ali (a.s.) said, “The daughter of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), did not make me angry even once. She never disobeyed me, and whenever I felt sad, seeing her would remove all my sadness”,” he continued.
In another part of his speech, the professor of high levels of the Islamic seminary in Qom said, “The life of Lady Zahra (a.s.) life was full of hardships and difficulties. It has been narrated that Lady Zahra (a.s.) was born on the fifth day of the prophethood of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) when he was in the most difficult situation. In the AbiTalib Valley, Lady Zahra (a.s.) was three years old. Muslims were economically and socially sanctioned, and many prohibitions were imposed on them. After the Prophet (p.b.u.h) was threatened with death, he migrated to Madinah, and in the second year of his residence in Madinah, Jihad began by the order of God. Therefore, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) rises to war against belligerent non-Muslims (اهل کتاب) and stubborn polytheists (مشرکین). In the eighth year of Hijrah, the year Mecca was conquered by Muslims, the conditions were not difficult. But in the tenth year of Hijrah, Lady Zahra (a.s.) faced the most difficult situation, that is, the separation and departing of her father, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). Imam Ali (a.s.) and Lady Zahra (a.s.) suffered the tragedy of separation from the Prophet (p.b.u.h). The divine revelation was cut off, and the great manifestation of God passed away.”
About the life of Lady Zahra (a.s.) after the demise of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), he said, “The most difficult period of Lady Zahra’s (a.s.) life was after the demise of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), which lasted 75 or 95 days. However, she did not leave Imam Ali (a.s.) alone in all the hardships. Lady Zahra (a.s.) used to say: “O Ali (a.s.), I am by your side at all times, and I will not leave you alone”.”
Pointing to the peace of Lady Zahra (a.s.) due to the worship of God, Ayatollah Ramazani added, “Today, one of the problems of human society is depression, so that people cannot control themselves. Today, people in the West suffer from lack of identity because they have no connection with the spiritual world. While human beings were created to be connected with the spiritual world. If a person does not have a connection with the spiritual world, his existence becomes void and meaningless. Therefore, what gives a person identity and meaning is attention to the spiritual and eternal world. Man is a spiritual creature, and all his value is in his spiritual attributes. Without spiritual attributes, a person becomes worthless and will not experience any peace.”
“Lady Zahra (a.s.) did not get angry under any circumstances, but she used to face hardships. Once, an old man came to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and said that he was hungry and had nothing to eat. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “I have nothing to give you right now. But I guide you to a house that if anyone goes to it, they will not return empty-handed.” The Prophet (p.b.u.h) told Bilal the Abyssinian, to guide the old man to the house of Ali (a.s.) and Zahra (a.s.).” Bilal did so and said, “The Prophet (p.b.u.h) has sent this person to you.” Lady Zahra (a.s.) had a sheepskin and gave it to the old man. The old man said, “This is not useful for me!” Therefore, she gave him his bangle,” he added.
About the patience of Lady Zahra (a.s.), the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “She endured the hardships of life. According to narrations, sometimes for several days, there was no food to eat in the house of Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.). But she never said anything to her husband Imam Ali (a.s.). Rather, she said that she would be ashamed to ask Imam Ali (a.s.) for something that he could not provide.”
Referring to other characteristics of Lady Zahra (a.s.), he said, “The worship of Lady Zahra (a.s.) was a special worship that gave her peace. Basically, what gave her peace was communication and connection with God. She had no attachment to the material world and raised the best children with the least means. Today, tastes have changed, false consumerism has become common, and due to the increase in people’s expectations, the age of marriage has also increased.”
Regarding the social activity of Lady Zahra (a.s.), Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Some say that women cannot have social activities. But there is no problem with appropriate social activity.”
“A woman’s duty is to raise children,” he continued, “Raising a child is a specialized and heavy task assigned to mothers by God. Lady Zahra (a.s.) raised her children in the best way, and she was the best teacher. She delivered Hassan (a.s.) and Hussain (a.s.) to society, each of them is a role model.”
Stating that a woman can be a good mother and teacher for her children, and be active in important social fields, the seminary professor added, “As a true and wise believer, Lady Zahra (a.s.) could influence the society. So many people follow her example today. Lady Zahra (a.s.), Lady Zaynab (a.s.), Lady Khadijah (a.s.), and many great women could appear in society and make a social impact. If the social presence of women was incorrect, Lady Zaynab (a.s.) was not a comprehensive narrator of the great incident of Karbala. He gave such a sermon in Yazid’s palace that after three days a mourning ceremony was held for Imam Hussain (a.s.).”
“According to hadiths, “Lady Fatimah (a.s.) is “لیلة القدر” (Laylat al-Qadr: Qadr Night)” because she has a great personality. She stood by the friend of God, Imam Ali (a.s.), and supported him, and whoever stands next to the friend of God must be patient. In this regard, Imam Reza (a.s.) said, “The person who is with God’s friend must be a person of patience and resistance.” Lady Zahra (a.s.) was a person of patience and resistance and defended the legitimate rights of Velayat in various ways until the last moment of her life,” he added.
“True faith, moral attributes, and knowledge of God made Lady Fatimah (a.s.) a unique character. In such a way that the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was proud of her and used to kiss her hands. On the other hand, pure people also make her their role model,” said the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly at the end of his speech.
