A Syrian university professor said, “Lady Zahra (a.s.) is the best role model for women and they should follow her.”
On the birth anniversary of Lady Zahra (a.s.) and Women’s Week, the first virtual and international meeting of women followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) with the officials of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
In this meeting, referring to the characteristics of Lady Zahra (a.s.), Ruqayyah Shebli, a professor at the University of Syria, stated, “Accepting responsibility was one of her characteristics. Lady Zahra (a.s.) as a woman was able to accept her responsibilities well and fulfill them. Although she was young, Lady Zahra (a.s.) was able to be a real mentor for her children at home, a real support for her husband, and a worthy child for her father. Lady Zahra (a.s.) was able to prove that a woman can offer kindness, culture, and morality to her family despite all the problems.”
“After the demise of her father, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), Lady Zahra (a.s.) took the right position despite all the difficulties, and did not give in to the circumstances, but demanded her deprived right. In her sermons, Lady Zahra (a.s.) demanded her deprived right with eloquent and Quranic words and reasons,” she continued.
“Lady Zahra (a.s.) is the best role model for women and they should follow her. In these difficult economic times, I address all women. The cruel war that was imposed on my country, Syria, created many problems. The result of this war was many widows and orphans. In such a situation, women must make the right decisions and refine their souls, observe chastity, educate themselves, take responsibility, and create culture,” added Syrian University professor.
“During my activities in Syria, I witnessed that many women who had orphaned children were able to earn a living by learning art. A Muslim woman must behave within the framework of a moral system, and in such circumstances, no one can criticize her. Women must fulfill their responsibilities while maintaining religion, morality, and chastity. Women should feel responsible in any situation, and this is a lesson from the life of Lady Zahra (a.s.),” noted the head of the orphanage Maa.
