The president of AhlulBayt (a.s.) University said, “At the Vatican Cardinal Council, it was emphasized that there is a relationship between religion and health, and that this relationship must be brought to the field. This is an opportunity for the church to introduce people to religious structures.”
In the conference “Religion, Health, and Humanitarian Aid” which was held on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the International University of AhlulBayt (a.s.), Hojat al-Islam Dr. Saeed Jazari Ma’moui said, “Last September, the issue was first debated in the Vatican Cardinal Council, and the outbreak of Covid-19 sparked a series of debates, requiring a synergy between religious and health centers.”
“In June 2020, health centers and nursing homes in Italy, France, and Portugal were overcrowded with malignant patients. With the Pope’s message, the church doors were opened for the first time to accommodate Covid-19 patients to help the health organizations,” added the President of AhlulBayt (a.s.) University.
“At the Vatican Cardinal Council, it was emphasized that there is a relationship between religion and health, and that this relationship must be brought to the field. This is an opportunity for the church to introduce people to religious structures. These meetings were successful and now in various cities in Italy and France, religious centers have become the most important medical centers for Covid-19 patient,” he added.
Appreciating the Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), the deputy for International Affairs of AhlulBayt (a.s.) University, and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in holding the conference “Religion, Health and Humanitarian Aid”, Dr. Jazari Mamoui expressed hope that this path will continue.
Saying that Ayatollah Ramazani, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, has had more than two decades of experience in dealing closely with the academic and religious centers in the West, the President of the University of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) stated, “The experience of cooperation between scientific, medical, health and health centers with religious centers is very valuable for holding this conference.”
“Thanks to the blessed name of AhlulBayt (a.s.), this organization has the mission of providing scientific and cultural service to the devotees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) from all over the world,” said Dr. Jazari, referring to the activities of the International University of AhlulBayt (a.s.).
“Students of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University are from foreign countries. The university has faculties of engineering, humanities, law, social sciences, Islamic studies, the Center for Women’s Studies, and the Center for Foreign Languages,” he added.
