In a message, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly expressed condolences on the demise of Dr. Ebrahim Tawati, a distinguished university professor and French translator, and a prominent scholar at Al-Mustafa (p.b.u.h) International University.
According to this message, One of Sheikh Ebrahim’s honors is the first translation of the Shiite jurisprudence encyclopedia in French under the title “Fiqh al-Imam al-Sadeq (a.s.)” by the late Allamah Mohammad Javad Mughniyeh, which was welcomed and approved by French-speaking experts.
The text of the message is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
“Whenever an Alem (Islamic Scholar) passes away, there is an irreparable breach in Islam that nothing will cover it until the Day of Judgment.”
Unfortunately, in recent days, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) School lost one of its scholars and students. Sheikh Ebrahim Al-Tawati Al-Jazayeri was one of the scholars of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, who traveled the long way from Algeria to Syria, and then Iran, to be a student in that rightful school to learn authentic values.
His love for the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) and his rightful successor, Imam Khamenei, as well as his love for acquiring Maʿrifa, led him to the holy city of Qom, so that he could benefit from the knowledge of Muhammad and his AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the Mainland of Islamic world (the city of Qom).
After acquiring various Islamic sciences in Qom, Sheikh Ebrahim Al-Tawati went to different regions to propagate Islam, and due to his mastery of the French language, he was able to propagate Islam in Francophone regions and lead a group of truth seekers to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school.
One of Sheikh Ebrahim’s honors is the first translation of the Shiite jurisprudence encyclopedia in French under the title “Fiqh al-Imam al-Sadeq (a.s.)” by the late Allamah Mohammad Javad Mughniyeh, which was welcomed and approved by French-speaking experts.
Among other works of the deceased are the translation of the Wise Sayings of Imam Ali (a.s.), and the translation of the book “Al-Intizar al-Mowajah” (Justified Awaiting) by the late Ayatollah Mohammad Mahdi Asefi (r.a.), in French.
The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly offers its condolences to his family and the grand sources of emulation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, and from God Almighty asks for forgiveness for the deceased and patience and a great reward for the bereaved family members and relatives.
