The representative of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Afghanistan stated, “One of the traditions of Afghan people in Ramadan is the invitation to Iftar. They also hold Quran reciting ceremonies in this month, and it is rare to find a house in the country where the Quran is not recited.”

A part of the Secretary-General’s message reads, “We thank God Almighty for allowing us to experience this month once again and enjoy its blessings, the month that is the best time of the year and the time of the revelation of the Quran, the month that the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) used to welcome it by fasting and praying in the two months of Rajab and Sha’ban, the month which, according to Imam Sajjad (a.s.) is the reason for the superiority of the Muslim Ummah over other ummahs, and the month which its farewell causes sorrow for God’s friends, and they relieve their sorrow with a few days of fasting after Eid al-Fitr.”

Pointing out that the best Eid’s gift for the servants after a month of fasting is peace and health, a safe and calm soul and submission to the divine destinies, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly of the said, “Eid al-Fitr is a day of good news and divine forgiveness.”
