On the occasion of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.), the governorate of Karbala announces the province off on Sunday to Thursday.
In a statement, the media office of Nasif al-Khatabi, the governor of Karbala, announced, “In order to implement security and service plans, as well as to open the doors to the people of the holy land of Karbala to host millions of pilgrims of Imam Hussain (a.s.), it was decided to set the days to Arbaeen off.”
“These off days started on Sunday, September 11 and will continue until Thursday, September 15, with the exception for the employees of Karbala Governorate and all security and service institutions,” the statement continued.
It is worth mentioning that this year, the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.) will be on Saturday, September 17, and millions of Iraqi and foreign pilgrims have already left for Karbala.
