Obedience to Wilayah, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah’s important characteristic: member of ABWA’s Supreme Council
Ayatollah Mohammadi Iraqi, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “One of the important characteristics of Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, which played a valuable role in the success of the Resistance Front, was his adherence and obedience to Wilayah and leadership.”
ABWA Official Website – On Thursday morning, October 17, 2024, the 194th comprehensive conference of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly began with the presence of members of the council in the meeting hall of the Assembly in Qom.
In an interview on the sidelines of this conference, Ayatollah Mahmoud Mohammadi Iraqi, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, spoke about the school of Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. “I honor the memory of the Resistance martyrs, especially the lord of martyrs of the resistance front, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. Indeed, God bestows His grace on some figures, and this particular grace makes these figures rise above the level of their time. Humans, even great humans, have a limited time and a definite life, and what remains of them is only their thoughts, and school. This is also true in scientific matters. For example, a person who is a jurist and a mujtahid in jurisprudence has a higher rank than others. It is the same in all disciplines and sciences. For example, a person is a professor in the field of philosophy. But another person reaches the position of theorizing in philosophy. While having a philosophical school is higher than theorizing. For example, Mulla Sadra has a new philosophical school which was different from the previous schools. The term “school” was first used by the Supreme Leader about martyr Soleimani, under the title “School of Soleimani.” That is, he has a new way, method, strategy, and school that can guide and guide people comprehensively and according to the conditions of his time. Martyr Soleimani presented this school in his life and works, and most importantly with his martyrdom. That is also true about martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah.”

Ayatollah Mahmoud Mohammadi Iraqi continued, “When Sayed Hassan Nasrallah was elected as the Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, he was young, and no one imagined that he would be able to shine in leading and directing Hezbollah in this way. For more than three decades, martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah successfully performed this great service. He showed his qualifications in leadership, which is rare if not unique. Therefore, this martyr had a school and was a role model for others. The first important work of this noble martyr was that he could unite in the plural Lebanese society. This unity was between religions, clans, tribes, and political movements and parties. It is not a simple thing that in a country where the majority are Christians, Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah can gather even Christians with him.”
In the following, this member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly told a memory of the Christians’ interest of in Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. “The Lebanese Christians are a free community. Once in Lebanon, an elderly Christian lady told us, “We are called Shiite Christians! Because we are supporters of Hezbollah and followers of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah.” It was the art of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah’s leadership that he could influence the Christian community in a way that Christians became interested in him to such an extent and were willing to make sacrifices for him. This was one of Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah’s characteristics, and it was due to his sincerity in his actions. He could gather all sections of the plural Lebanese society around the axis of resistance.”
“Lebanese Hezbollah was formed from different branches,” Ayatollah Mahmoud Iraqi noted, “Maybe there were some people who claimed to be the leader of Hezbollah after Sayed Abbas Mousavi’s martyrdom. But the unique art of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah’s leadership was that during his tenure, there were no divisions or splits in Hezbollah. I don’t know any political and military organization that has been able to maintain its integrity for such a long time, and no splits have arisen in it. These cases were the important characteristics of Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, which are unique.”
Sayed Hassan Nasrallah’s obedience from Wilayah
The head of the office of Supreme Leader of the Revolution in Qom continued, “Another important characteristic of Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, who played a valuable role in the success of the Resistance, was his obedience to Wilayah and Leadership (Imam Khamenei). I heard this story from reliable and trusted sources that the Americans suggested to Sayed Hassan Nasrallah that they are ready to make him the head of the government of Lebanon, and even the lord and master of the Arab world. Only on the condition that he would not support Wilayah of Faqih. What did Sayed Hassan Nasrallah answer? The same answer he said in his speech: “If we are killed a thousand times, they will burn our bodies and scatter our ashes; O son of Hussain! we will not leave you alone!” This is a very important issue.”
Further, he talked about other characteristics of martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. “This martyr was in love with Wilayah Faqih (Imam Khamenei) and fascinated by him. Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah said publicly without any fear, “We are Lebanese and Lebanon’s interests are important to us, but we are proud of Wilayah Faqih.” These facts should not be ignored. Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah had many characteristics, including forgiveness and sacrifice. Whatever he advised, he would do it himself first. If he advised on participation in the frontline and jihad, he himself, his children, and his family would be in the field. If he spoke of martyrdom, he himself was present on the frontline and even put his son on the frontline of martyrdom. These qualities are crucial for leaders. Honesty, dedication, and sincerity are the most important keys to influencing and ruling over hearts.”
“May God unite Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah with His saints and Imam Hussain (a.s.) and make the pure tree of Hezbollah stable in Lebanon. I hope to see the day when all the goals and ideals of the Resistance have been objectively realized. The Lord of Resistance nurtured the pure tree of Hezbollah for thirty years until it became a stout tree. So today, not only the Zionist regime but also America is afraid of it,” Ayatollah Mohammadi Iraqi said in the end.
