In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah: there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge, and some of them who still wait, and they have not changed in the least,” (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Ahzab, Verse: 23)

Members of the Yemeni Ulama Association

and the bereaved family and relatives of the late Allamah Sheikh Abdusalam Al-Wajih

Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon you

With great regret we learned about the demise of Allamah Sheikh Abdulsalam Al-Awjieh the Secretary-General of Yemeni Ulama Association, who was a pragmatic and sincere scholar and a defender of Islam and AhlulBayt (a.s.) school. He passed away after years of suffering from illness and not being allowed to leave Yemen, due to the cruel siege imposed on the Yemeni heroic and resistant nation. With the demise of this scholar, the Islamic Ummah lost a great figure who was always at the service of his nation and the Islamic Ummah.

On this sad loss, on behalf of the honorable scholars in the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, I offer my sincere condolences to the Yemeni ulama and heroic nation, the Islamic Ummah, as well as his bereaved family and relatives.

The deceased spent his life spreading the teachings of Islam and AhlulBayt (a.s.) and provided great services during his tenure in the Yemeni Ulama Association. He was truly a mujahid scholar. We ask God that with His immense mercy enter him into Paradise and reunion him with infallible Prophets and Imams (a.s.), and grant patience and spiritual reward to his noble family, relatives, and friends. May God grant you health and success to serve Islam.

Sincerely

Your brother Mohammad Hassan Akhtari

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly
