On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, the last session of the series of sessions “Study of the women position in the Quran and hadiths” was held at International University of AhlulBayt (a.s.) with a speech by Dr. Heshmatollah Ghanbari Hamedani.

In the meeting, Dr. Ghanbari Hamedani first explained the glorious position of women in the Quran, then comparatively examined the issue of the creation of women in the Quran as well as the distorted books of other religions.

In examining the hadiths related to women, he emphasized that in interpreting the hadiths, one should pay attention to their historical context. That is, it must be examined in what historical, social, or in what circumstances each hadith has been narrated. Finally, an interpretation appropriate to the requirements of the time, the level of understanding of today’s audience must be presented for each hadith.

“To get the right answer, you must ask the question correctly,” Dr. Ghanbari Hamedani stated, “Asking a question incorrectly results in an equally incorrect answer.”

“The beauty and sweetness that God Almighty has placed in women is one of the strongest and most important tools to strengthen the structure of life. This blessing is her honor to win the pure heart of a man who seeks a pure life,” Dr. Ghanbari added.

“All of this shows the importance of the glorious status of women in religion,” he stated, summing up the study of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) words about the status of women.

“A good man is a man who knows his wife’s characteristics and abilities. Also, from the point of view of religion, one should not impose inappropriate deeds and skills on a woman beyond her spirits,” the religious expert concluded.
