In a statement, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly called on Shiites and Sunnis, and the two great nations of Afghanistan and Iran, not to be deceived by the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam.
In a statement, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly of Afghanistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.).
Describing the love of the AhlulBayt of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) as a part of faith, and the means of unity of the Muslim nation, the Assembly stated, “The enemies of Islam have targeted this important issue and are trying to make the unity of Muslims regarding the Infallible Imams (a.s.) vulnerable.”
The AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly also considered the attack on preacher clerics as the act of a takfiri element and offered its condolences to Imam Reza (a.s.), the Iranian nation and the families of the martyrs, and also prayed for the immediate healing of the injured of the attack.
The statement reads, “The Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers, strongly condemns this heinous act of the enemies of Islam, that is, targeting the security of the shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) as the unity factor of Shiites and Sunnis, with the aim of dividing.”
At the end of the statement, while emphasizing the need for unity among Muslims, it is stated, “Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers sincerely called on Shiites and Sunnis, and the two great nations of Afghanistan and Iran, not to be deceived by the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam, to value their unity, solidarity, and brotherhood more than before, and disappoint the enemies of Islam by keeping their unity and brotherhood.”
On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, a person with a cold weapon (knife) attacked 3 clerics in the courtyard of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) and injured them. Two volunteer clerics named Hojat al-Islam Aslani and Hojat al-Islam Daraei were martyred in the attack.
The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) that was established by a group of Shiite elites under the supervision of the great Islamic authority of the Shiites in 1990 to identify, organize, educate and support the followers of Ahl al-Bayt.
