ABWA Official Website – The joint meeting of the committees of the second cultural-artistic festival of AhlulBayt (a.s.) under the title of “Ana min Hussain” international festival, was held.
In this meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and CEO of Ashura International Foundation, the latest status of the submitted works was reviewed, and decisions were made about the start of the judging process.
At the beginning of this meeting, Hojat al-Islam Hosseini Aref, the secretary of the festival, presented a report on the stages of organizing this event from the beginning of the call until now.
“So far, and two weeks before the end of the deadline for participation, more than 450 works from 18 countries have been submitted to the secretariats of the festival in Iran and India. In this festival, compared to the first AhlulBayt (a.s.) festival, the variety of participants in terms of countries is more,” he said.
Further in the meeting, Messrs. Hadi Darvishi, head of the education committee, Hassan Khakarand, head of the cultural and artistic committee, Dr. Mahdi Farmanian, head of the scientific committee, Hamidreza Rezaei, head of the international committee, and Abbas Haider, head of the festival’s executive committee, expressed their opinions.
“Ana min Hussain”, the second cultural and artistic festival of AhlulBayt (a.s.), with two specialized topics “Introduction of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the Ashura uprising to non-Shiites” and “Relationship between Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the Prophet (p.b.u.h)” and their sub-topics was called in five sections.
The festival is organized by the Ashura International Foundation and the Department of Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the Karbala Center for Studies and Research, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (a.s.), and the Art Department of the Islamic Development Organization participate in organizing it.
Non-Iranian artists and researchers have until December 31, 2023, to submit their works to the secretariat of this festival.

It is worth mentioning that the “Grand Prize of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” as the first cultural and artistic festival of AhlulBayt (a.s.), was held in 2014 with the participation of 898 works by artists and writers from 14 countries.
